I know there are few gym junkies out there...whats your work out looking like...is it surf specific...does it help...no runnin at the momnet so I am doing

3 x 10 reps of wide chinups
3 x 10 reps of dumbell chest pree
3 x 10 reps front raises and side rasies
3 x 10 cable punch
3 x 10 cable single arm rows
3 x 10 cable two hand rotations
then hit the pool for a
5 lap warm up
5 lap pool bouy
5 lap underwater (1 at a time)
5 lap cool down

5 days a week, 4 sets x 4 different exercises per body part,dose it help my surfing hell no.

Monday international chest day
Tuesday bis and tris
Wednesday shoulders or aka boulders day
Thursday chest
Friday bis gets the girls day or aka international party pump day bis and tris

Friday night a couple of lounge chair arm curls aka as drink beer watching the footy

Saturday gym rest day its surf day
Sunday gym rest day its surf day

I had a killer log session at lunch today... No leash even, felt like a hipster, even wore shorts with palm tress on them.. Hahah

What's wrong with palm trees on shorts ?
I think I bought a pair today with palm trees.
I'm going to check now

When not injured I use a kettle bell. Prefer my lounge room for exercise. 10kg and mix it up from bicep reverse dip double handed things, to single handed swings and lifts as well as the basic kettle bell swing. I like that all of it engages my core.

As far as flexibility goes, I can suck on my big toe and get my nose to my knee when my leg is flat on the floor with the other foot tucked up in my groin. Pretty happy with that at 43 1/2, 6'2" and 90kgs.

When I can't swing the bell, I still stretch.

For me its all about the machines and weighs that have the best mirrors.

Just following mac works well- he knows his gym mirrors

Yeah bro usually a set after the weights or if I'm bored with the weights I'll hit the pool and just break it down into 5 lap sets until I get to 2k's

5 lap warm up
5 lap pool bouy
5 laps underwater or flat sprints
5 lap cool down/warm up

I should hit the gym but find them boring. I used to enjoy running but the knee hates it n I do not fancy another reconstruction just yet. My biceps get a good workout drinking Bintangs on the flat days.
