Xmas day starts with phone calls and the roast placed in the weber, then off for a early surf (if any) with some of the nephews. Back home then get ready for Xmas lunch.
my family take turns at who's home will host lunch. when it's at my place we start about 11am ,first frothy is cracked and roasts are checked (never be late home after surf ,or the wife's stink eye will burn you) gifts are opened with beer in hand.
we now move our attention to the front veranda and the Xmas feast.
xmas lunch starts with the hats and the crap jokes followed by drowning more beer .

Ding ding Rn 1 starts with nibblies and more beer ding.
Ding ding Rd 2 three kinds of roasts appear accompanied by roast veggies and assortment of fresh crab and prawns.
Ding ding Rd 3 a combo of Xmas pudding ,trifle ,brandy custard.ding

with the feast finished I start cleaning the family asset (the BBQ) the ladies start washing up ,then the men appear to wipe up and remind their partners they could get lucky tonight.

now it's time to move under my two big mango trees, down some more beer and chin wagg for an hour or two before it's making fun of the family member nodding off.
By the time the bundy bear has appeared the brothers and brother in laws are in full swing.
we wind up about 7pm give everyone a big kiss and hug And say our goodbye.
a quick tidy up of the place Then off to put the feet up talk about some nice gifts we received and have a giggle about some others.
I give the wife a kiss and tell her she is the best ,her reply ,,,,,, God you stink off bundy.

have a great Christmas .

Sounds like a full on day there Cobra. Enjoy. A bit diff down this way - surf early (if there is any) then ham and cheese toastie (leg of ham has been getting a solid workout already this last 10 days) then just hang out and relax and do skype calls with the nieces and nephews and other reli's. We have a bunch of people coming for a late lunch / early dinner - we do it Brazo style and eat in small courses over the arvo so as not to over eat - that way you can just keep grazing so you do not miss out on anything The lady will probably be drinking Verve (based on what she came home with today) and I will be having beers with a few splashes of wine. Food wise it will be meat feast of cattleman and lamb cutlets - cooked on the Webber under the power of coal and hickory wood chips. Salads and some green beans will also be served. Bring it on.

Meanwhile back home on the farm.............

our Christmas will be similar, but with friends as we do not have family close by. the common theme is the charcoal will be burning on the weber with some manuka chips for smoking

Was meant to have Chrissy at our house this year, but then 2 of my sisters got preggers & now have new borns. Both their first, so its hard enough getting them out of the house yet alone 90 mins away. So it will be the usual thing at the olds, BBQ meats, chicken, ham, salad & potato salad we were asked to bring. We'll crash at the olds, so I'll be drinking my 2 keg kings of James Squire Chancer while going with the flow of convo & the missus her sparkling wine.

Hope yuz all have a great Chrissy
