Funny story, I was talking to a plumber the other day. he told me he was working on a job and reconised a board standing in the clients garage. After inspecting the board he knew it was the same board that was stolen from his backyard twenty years ago , I kid you not. So he left the job. he asked me what to do, I said walk back in and take it , he said I'm thinking of it . I don't know if he did he has enough coin to buy ten boards..... What would you do.

Walk back in and take it back, then return to the home and tell them the story.

A similar thing happened to me about 5 years ago, someone stole my tinnie with a 15hp motor on the back which both were
locked up with a huge chain and lock.I looked for a couple of weeks reported it to the police no show,my son had a small tinnie
at the time with a 6hp which was playing up so I took it for a run and bugger me I found my half submerged tinnie = motor tied
up behind a house worth well over a mil,so I toed it home, drive around and they told me it washed up.I rang the police to report
my find = motor, the funny thing was mine was white rego numbers and red blue graphics to home owner reported finding a tinnie
silver in colour with no markings.WTF!

You can't be sure if the guy didn't buy the board from cash converters or somewhere else so its difficult to prove that the person actually stole the board.

hey mac i bought a honda trail bike when i was 16.it was my first big purchase after skate & surf boards.
i worked my arse off after school and got a bike that was four years old i was in love.
on the fourth day of owning this bike i went to the local bike track after half an hour the cops showed up and asked
whos bike,i said mine, they did a check and said it was stolen from a bike shop a guy took it for a test ride and never come back.
so into the wagon with the bike and off to the cop shop,i was treated like a grub until mum showed up with the reseat and the add from the trading post.
never found out who stole it but the cops said i was lucky to get my money back as the insurance company owned it now.
