I see on the first one he had brought the hips in a lot with a sidecut....seems this is making a comeback on shorter boards as well at the moment. Beige is a crap colour in my opinion

Saw a lovely Bonzer at Riased By Wolves in Avalon the other day....looked unreal. Never really thought about surfing one before - but I must say it would be good to try one. They look like they would be lots of fun.

Ted - do they look like those old ice-cream spoons you got with the tub , the wooden ones - i think a guy over here has one , bloody funny looking things - he had trouble getting the drop and then bottom turn happening a couple of times

These sidecuts in boards aren't as new an idea as you would think .Checking out the history of some old boards and found a board shaper in Sydney doing this sort of stuff nearly 30 years ago . Check out Rodney Ball surfboards on surf research .

But have to admit that tail on the McTavish does look kind of like a Myerhoffer

I agree appears everything old is new again.
Retro Vintage and so on just like some of those long haired beard young dudes getting around riding D fins.

Interesting looking board, be interesting to see how it turns of those hips. Terrible colour, looks like the colour chart was Richie Benauds jackets... The bone, the white, the ivory, the beige, the off white...

It's a shame about the muffdiver boards... But if you get those muff diver meyhoffers out of your mind, the board actually looks very interesting. Accentuated hip to pivot from. I'll ask for a demo one to get sent down to Torquay for further R&D and testing!
