In about 3 weeks I will have my 9'6 fireball off laybuy and in the water. Next step is to join a club to make the most of it as none of my mates LB! Can anyone recommend a good club in the metro area?

You have three choices in the metro area. Cottesloe who surf at Iso's, Wavewalkers which are in the Scarb to Mettams area and Mullaloo which surf there and get to Lancelin a bit.

You mean none of your old mates longboard Mate you must be amped and sleepless for the new toy and a mighty fine one at that.

We require photos and lots of the new stick and please keep us up to date with which club you drink with whoops surf with

There are no waves in Cott. What was once an OK alternative if all the other local spots were overcrowded or in a big NW storm has now become the most overcrowded of all spots in the area. Isos is overrun with old, lazy guys on mals and SUPs. I haven't surfed there for years and I doubt I ever will again. Don't come to Cott. I guess if you joined the club and only surfed there in comps at least you'd be guaranteed to get it uncrowded then but otherwise stay away unless you like sharing one peak with 50 of your best mates.

Tell me about it everyone I know reckons Mals are for over the hill people, Bull S**t I reckon. I cant wait to swoop a nice smooth bottom turn make my up the face walk to the front hang my toes off and flip the bird to them ha ha. Its all good fun I ride just about every spectrum but really feel the longboarding (longer?) satisfies me I get to soak in the waves energy and im more relaxed after a good surf.

As soon as I get it ill post a pic and try and get a few from the line up, got a few mates who, although they dont longboard, are gonna introduce me to down south so plenty ahead of me.

As far as a club goes I just wanna join a club to be share the stoke I can surf anywhere I want so not limited to the club I guess? Plenty of road trips, camping waves and boozin is what Im chasin

Wavewalkers are having a fun event which will involve riding six different boards in mid November open to all members and some room for extra surfers. Looks like a chance of Bob McTavish, Steve Walden and the Meyerhoffer dude coming over to be part of it. Give you more info as I get it. Cheers!
