(Not surfing...) I reckon this site is pretty good, as much as for where it leads you as what is on it: www.brainpickings.org/

And this might give you some ideas for the new place: www.dwell.com/ (I just follow them on FB, but the website is not bad.)

And... because my local library subscribes to Zinio - au.zinio.com/ - i can, through my library membership, get a lot (not all) of their magazines free on my ipad. Might be worth checking whether you could to do the same via your local Oz library?

Scotty I will be over around 6pm I must admit it is pretty warm here today. Wore jeans on the plane thinking I might need them when I got off but its a pretty fair temp I must say.

zino - I have a couple of subscriptions with them that I use. Did not know you could get on it that way - will investigate - thanks for the top tip.

Mac - SB is good but there is more to life Instagram is fun to look at for a while but I do enjoy a good read (as well a good Bintang)

Wavelength - that Dwell site has some nice ideas. Will spend some more time looking at it. We have been drawing lots of inspiration from these guys - check out some of the cool stuff that is being done over there. This Green Village is amazing - well worth a visit if you ever over that way.

Thanks fellas - starting to build some momentum here Foot is on the mend SP - might even snaffle a few at the old local early next week depending on the winds. Staying in Rose Bay the next few nights then off to Dee Why for the rest of the week so will be close to the action none the less. Not hit the water yet though as been taking it easy. Do not want to prolong the stay of execution any longer than necessary.
