I have found the Sex Wax Top Coats (newish products, with Silver or Gold label), to be so sticky and tacky... So much so than I feel like my feet are planted/glued to the board, and prohibits walking up the board...

Plus it stays behind and sticks to your hands, knees, wetsuit, etc... I had to get a hot soapy face-washer at home to clean my knees after my surf this morning...

I'm going back to my favorite Purple Sex Wax.

Although, the positive is that I checked out the website, and they have a stack of different specialist waxes in their range, including Snowboard Wax... So I'll be getting some of this is due course! : )

Got a local dude who makes Sticky Feet - so I'm supporting a WA fella nice bloke , also makes candle wax scented varieties for the little ladies of the house too

Showing my age here when I first started used to use my mothers preserving wax there was nothing else , we've come a long way

+1 for Sticky Feet - red and blue... (base and top coat).

agree with Simondo, the silver and gold stuff is too sticky for a LB, and it doesn't just stop you from moving your feet around, it also slows down your pop up and even hinders you from doing a quick seated turn around and shimmy backwards after a paddle out.



Not to mention all the crap it leaves on your wetty.

ATM I'm using Mr Palmer or Far King LB wax.

Thanks obct... I was starting to stress that I was a kook again! Sort of had an average surf, in conditions that were about 6/10... fairly clean Winki, head high to head an a bit, and lined up reasonably ok...

Really felt like I had to lift my foot off the board to "walk/shuffle", rather than some little "slide" adjustments...

I use orange and red Sexwax through the winter, and blue and red through the summer.

Will have to keep an eye out for that. Most of the time its Mrs Palmers but in Winter I like Slime. Stays very sticky and you rarely need to comb it.

That Sex Wax sticky topcoat is more geared at high performance SBers who are trying to land airs.

For us mere mortals the only purpose it serves is destroying boardshorts, beach towels and car upholstry.
