Anyone surfed one of these;
http://www.surfsailaustralia.com.au/showProduct/Surfboards/Longboards+on+Special/walden92/Walden+Magic+Model+9+ft+2inches+%28SPECIAL+-+WAS+%241250+NOW+%24799%29

I know it's gsi but at least it's a pu and can't deny it's a good deal at 799.
Just wonder how it rides?
(Am dreaming of a custom mct but can't afford it)

Haven't surfed one, but I would be wary of any board claiming to be good at 1 ft or 10 ft

I surfed a GSI Walden once - smaller board - was a 6'6" I think from memory and it went well and looked like it had been made well. Not sure about their longboards but given the one I made works it can not be that hard to make them Maybe obct has seen them as one of his fav shops he hangs out in (BB in Brookvale) stocks them, and can provide some helpful feedback.

I have been riding a 9'6" SLX (epoxy) Magic Model for the last couple of years.
I am getting over a couple of knee ops, but it's as good a longboard I have ridden.
It's a performance bottom curve which doesn't catch a wave quite as quick as an old school nose rider, (I have one of those too :D), but I cant fault it.
It turns without effort, full cutties (and return), fast, and easy to paddle.
I don't nose ride so I cant comment on that.

Oh, and for doubts about these being made by nonsurfing persons in nonsurfing nations, the glass is hard as. I have the dubious honour of taking off on late drops on my knees, and there are no depressions in the deck.
I am 102 kg. (all muscle and hard as feck :) I wish :( )

Hey Captain - I don't know the Walden brand so not bagging it, i hear they are okay... but I reckon this one on the Breeze Buy and Sell is probably worth the extra 300 (including a bag and leggie... or see if you can do a deal for less without the extras?) It looks lovely. Fair enough if it's out of your range :

And there's a good looking Wayne Deane board in there for less too. (I'm sure you know all this...) Anyway, good luck whichever way you go.

I think the Walden Magic Model might even be the highest selling Longboard ever... I recall reading something like that.

USA based, with a larger market...
