Hi all, First time on here.

I and feverishly waiting on my new Walden Mini Mega Magic (what a mouth full) surfboard 7'6'' 23 1/2'' 3 5/8'' 74 ltr Just wondering if anyone has one of these boards, how do they go. and any thoughts on short long boards or long shortboards. The reason I am going for this board, my shoulders are a mess and on north coast of Tassie waves are fat and mush but should go OK on the east and west coasts....I thought the volume will help with paddling but still be able to turn it.

also I have a 5 foot 11 twin fin a shaper told me it is circa 1970s it is a Scott Dillon board shaped by Shane Horne. Would anyone know much about this board . is it a keeper??

Hi mate and welcome to the forum.

I don't know about the short Walden but yours looks like it had a heap of paddle power with the wide point up front.I've have ridden the 10 foot Walden Magic they are bullet proof.Enjoy your new board and be sure to let us know how she goes.

Scott Dillion boards are keepers is it in good condition for its age? post a picture up.

Gday Tas sups my sister has a walden magic similar dimensions and she loves it and surfs it really well,it paddles like a freight train and she catches 2 waves to my one on it its a paddling machine,I had a quick go on it but found it a bit corky but that was coming straight off my standard shorty which is around 31 ltrs, but yeah you'll get heaps of waves on it.
Scott Dillon boards are keepers as he's a bit of a legend from the early days of surfboard shaping and design, are you sure its Shane Horne as I know one of his shapers was Chris Horne.
