Still as lost as an Asian tourist with no GPS....
Hi Tom,
Maybe his closest mates on here know. I 'm not sure. I think it was Mac's own decision. This is just my take as someone way out on the periphery of things, so apologies if I inadvertently offend anyone. I believe that maybe he felt that there was a negative trend with a few people anonymously red-thumbing a lot of stuff he and others said about things, including McTavish boards. Or maybe it was just the red-thumb lurkers in general - i see you copped one for your previous post, which is just ridiculous (the thumb, not the post). Things flared up in Simondo's excellent recent board review thread and IMHO one person got a lot more personal with his remarks (most of which have been deleted) than was necessary. So thumbs, attitudes, comments - over an extended period and then a bit of a flare-up. That's between those peeps I suppose. I could be wrong, often am. I don't presume to speak for Mac or the others. Just thought it would be courteous to try to answer your question . . . (The other thing is, if you watch this room long enough . . . like the ocean, like the planet . . . the cycles and the seasons go around. This place goes bananas for some reason or other - or not much of a reason at all - every few months) But this room is richer when keen surfers share the stoke. That's something Mac seemed to do (and I reckon/hope will soon do again) and something you have been bringing in spades. Keep it up.

Cheers Wavelength, must have found my GPS for me, not lost now

A fair assumption yours is, seems to fit with most things.
Also, thanks for your reply too Asea, appreciated.
Hope to see you back soon Mac!
Tom.
