Have been trialing different fins lately and tried a FCS Dolphin PC (http://www.surffcs.com.au/shop/surf-longboard/2012/11/29/fcs-dolphin---pc) recently with GX rears. I liked the feel but for some reason I felt the centre fin was vibrating. I checked the fin was installed correctly - it was.

Anyone had any experience use these centre fins?

I take it the fin is a tight fit in the box?

or it could be flex in the tip?just looked at the link its flex I reckon.

Nah, fin is a good fit. Might be flex in the tip, but I wouldnt of thought i'd notice it on a 2foot nothing wave - wasnt as if I have put it under a great deal of stress.

Maybe its just a rubbish fin.

Sometimes it has as bit to do with the way the water comes of the back of the fin, give the back edge a light sandpaper and it may fix it.

Sometimes the trailing edge is not right and needs a little sanding back to even it out....over to you lacey

Just to be clear, are you guys talking about tiny bumps or chips in the fin?

Would it have anything to do with the side fins? The centre fin is way back in the box.

tiny bumps at the back of the fin in my experience... its basically cavitation

I,ve trying get fins to vibrate for years -how do you do it

Sounds like your going way to fast there boyo !!!!!

Slow down and the vibration will stop !

i get that sometimes with my D fin, its tight and fitted well but sometimes it just does. Sometimes i put it down to current and wave type when all comes together ur fin will just hum

90% of the time my fin is perfect so i dont think much about it, how ever if it does it constantly with a new fin u have put it, could be loose, could also be a bad foil job on the fin
