Got 3 really nice ones through 2nd Reef Bells Bowl.
Became greedy, hunting a 4th, and getting tired.
Copped a big load of sets on the head, and then I was waiting in the middle zone for a smaller one home...
Got caught in 2 minds, a guy was on a big one, heading my way... Like a rabbit in the headlights... Decided to bail... Board obviously caught full force of the wave... But for all I know I already had a crease from the bomb sets that landed on me...

As per photo, look closely, I'm missing a **** load of bottom laminate... Torn off by the surf...

Plus there's a healthy dose of Bells Black & Yellow sand on her still... Fins are still in mint condition...

I'd like to add that the break was mostly my own fault. I dived for the bottom 1 too many times! Left the board to fend for itself.

Plus it was bloody solid out there today!

Yes, I said the F Word out loud when I popped up with a half board.

(and the board was still in "mint condition"... surfed probably 12-16 times, not even 1 tiny shatter... just a coat of wax... wax aside, condition was "100/100"...)

I was about to order a KTM... (dirt bike)
But I think I will just get the same board reproduced.
Will talk to the boys first.
I really liked the board, and the tints...

Sorry for your loss Simo horrible way for it to break you still need to order the KTM as a consolation

I'm just lucky that I have some expendible income so I can indulge a little bit... But, I also wish I still had the board! I was on the way home, heading in... bang!

Awwww no good bro....there were some nuggets out there today and some crew...I had 30 with me in the first hour of daylight....at least it was a good opening to the season and hopefully we will get a few more days like that!! (Maybe you could get that speedshape now?)

ahhh...thats a real bad break Simondo - I feel for ya. Makes for a tough fix as well with all that glass missing. Are you going to fix it?
