Yes, I'm a big fan on redwood / cedar stringers. By big 9'0 Gun has 1/2 inch redwood.

Uploaded pics..... 10 all up.....

Glass is 6/4/6. Buffed finish on the sanded coat, without adding the weight of Finish Gloss Coat.

Doggie - I use the full size Merricks, not too different Sunny's.
Mac - I will send you and email
BP - yep, loads of plugs !
Ocean Blue - Enjoy my old board
Pete - yes

Boards like this are slightly cheating.... I get on early, as they paddle really well... I the young kids on the inside make no mistakes as to weather I'm going or not ! Performance cruisers for upper middle weight surfers (high 80's to 90 - big difference to those 75kg surfers... isn't BB 65kg?).

cRAZY, this one has a log in the middle of it ! Pure cedar. One of my favorites, when the swell is up. Pic was taken before it was waxed...

Man that's a sweet gun.

Family runs a small (and I mean small) lumber mill at home on one of the gulf islands (Pender - Sth Islnd), log fir, maple and cedar. I miss having access to good cheep lumber, and my dad work shop.

My First longboard had a 3/8" Cedar stringer - I snapped it. So bummed that day

Yeah, bring it on !! A few pics from a small mill would be pretty cool, plus the surrounds... I'll look it up on Google Earth tomorrow. Footy tonight (Go Cats!).

Mac, Just lighting up the room for a night!
Pete, yes the gun is a wet dream. I will give you that! I laughed!

In general, tonight was a pisser! The wife was away in Sydney on a girls night out, and I got to share the living room with my dog and my new board, after I had another opportunity to persuade my 23 month old son over towards the dark side / surfing... not that he needs too much persuasion!

Mac, The Ocean Blue deal with Pat went through! But Pat, please post revised photos !

Recent archives... not sure what Hollywood Matteo was up to here...

My wife was in Sydney yesterday as well, what no good places in Melbourne

Hmm how did your team get on last night, mine played poorly and lost

edit - I see they won,the writers are calling a classic match.

As petemc said you sure do have some nice boards.

I just got back from Pt Lonsdale (around the point) and had quite a nice session on the 'new' board. Going to try to get back there tomorrow morning before the wind gets up.

Did you get a few good waves too Pat / Ocean Blue?
Fisho's was pretty average for most of the day.

Here's a wild life tour company, with the sorts of things you can see around South Pender Island. where cRAZY's folks are. Pretty scenic! Looks like a nice place for a touring Stand Up Paddle Board too!

Yeah I did get a few nice ones - not as many as I would have liked though. Feeling a little sore in the shoulders as it was a struggle to hold position in the wind.

Ocean Blue, those sorts of days are good training.... holding position with wing and current.... increases your paddling strength.
