so what's your take on a Clearwater v McT. Love to know your thoughts

Both fantastic.
The UF8 was a high performance mid length longboard. Rounded pintail with a single fin, a flatter 3 stage rocker and thinner rails gave a feeling those traditional longbarders love with carving turns and a real conection to the wave.
The SDR has a bit more rocker, completely different tail and to me, is more like a shortboard. When I ordered it, I showed SDR the UF8 and said "I like the way it paddles but I am not into all this nose riding etc and want something more lively of the tail". That is exacly what I got. It paddles well, takes a drop no issues, and is way, way faster and manouverable off the tail. It has a pronounced double concave with a high point of the V in the tail.I failed to capute it in the photos.
I loved dealing with SDR. He gave me a lot of time. I watched this board being finished which was nice. I also have a computer file for it with volume and dimensions so I can tweak it later if I wish.
