Yeah he sure was cool Nozza. Was posted last week but worth reading again.

A lot of people may not heard of him, but may have heard of his son Israel, he was at the top of the longboard resurgence for a long time.

Whole family lived and breathed surfing and particularly longboards.

watched a doco on this guy a year or so back with interviews with him and his kids about the lifestyle they lead growing up,he was pretty out there in many ways well worth watching,can't remember what it was called but really interesting

The doco was called Surfwise: The amazing true story of the Paskowitz family. (2007) magnolia pictures. Surfwise is a documentary film about the legendary surfer “Doc” Paskowitz, who in 1956 abandoned the lifestyle of mainstream America and a successful medical practice, to embark on an odyssey to find his answers to who he was, what he wanted to do in life and setting up planning to do it. This amazing journey would end up with Doc, his wife Juliette and their nine children living in a 24ft camper and living by his rules on health, fitness, sexuality and above all else surfing. Definitely worth viewing.
