Hey, just thought I would share my new invention, my rope surfboard rack!!! Yes the ultimate tight-ar*e has done it again.

There was already 2 holes in the concrete brick wall, so I cut off some dowel and made simple hooks to hang the boards on. Went to el-cheapo discount shop and bough 4 rope dog leashes with built in latch. The lower board has some chord (like clothes line rope) that the dog leash hangs off to make it sit lower.

Each board can be loaded or removed without unstacking and takes up very little space in the single lock up garage. Total price $10

PS, and yes that is a home made cover for my UFO made from waterproof shade cloth. $30 board bag that fits 2 boards.

Hope this helps anyone else who might be looking for an affordable
storage solution.

Still in sparkling condition.

Had a play at Kirra this morning. Was going to call but had some very volatile plans with a friend, so didn't even know if I was going to get wet.

Once again, in the water having a chat out back and the other bloke tells me I made an excellent board choice. Do you know all these people that keep telling me this?

I do like the UFO better, the main thing so far is that if the nose of the UFO goes under, you can actually get it back out and keep riding.

The other board bag in the photo has a 6'9"x 24 1/4" x 2 3/4". By the end of this summer, I want to be able to steer the UFO and also be able to reliably pop up on the fish.

Mate master the ufo first then move onto the next board.
If your nose is going under your either too far forward,take 1/2 a step back or arch your back to move the weight towards the tail.

Has a look at your paddle position,this determines where your feet land on the pop up hence the nose will go under.

I am just talking about when I am trying to get the looongest ride from the tiniest wave and the whole show is slowing down. Nose dips and you can shuffle back, lift it out and go another 10 meters. All good, I think the big fish used to pull up as soon as the nose was under in those conditions.

Have managed a few rides on the little fish a few months ago. Variety is the spice of life, though if I ever bought a 666, I would want a motor to go with it.
