Does the swell get better as the sun rises whadda ya reckon I have to say I surfed at Main beach 2 weeks ago with Chrispy and Asea I got there at dawn looked out and thought nope its crap an hour later when the crew arrived it was cooking was it the tide, a pulse or is Lacey right it get better as the morning comes on

sometimes it plays tricks on ya and sometimes things improve and sometimes they don't.......from my personal exp. I reckon the first hr is normally the best. But if you are in Indo with those magical offshores it can just get better and better as the day progresses.

could do . the moon pulls the tide up as it rises etc, so the sun would have some effect also maybe ? need a science boffin to sort that.

often get a wind change come in with the full tide.

Depends what the day / night before was IMO, if it was howling the day before fair chance there could be some morning sickness before the offshore straightens it out and same if the wind was light or offshore overnight then the morning should be smooth..

So said half of it for me. Up here our banks work better with more water on the banks and it weep always Jack up in size as the tide fills in. That equals good fun. Boofy it was 1 ft and rubbish when you turned up, we told you add some water and we will be sweet. Plus albey mangled only turns up when it gets good lol

Yep I think mumbles tried to explain it like that at one stage but I just couldnt get it I miss mumbles

Mumbles is a legend when he is not dropping in on ya. He does thin the crowds out for us though yeeew
