They lost contact. Then she found him on Facebook. Now they are married. And it's just one of many cases of what's becoming a common occurance - first love, second time around thanks to social media.

A few of my mates have benefited from the retro-squezze but not yet gone the full distance......how are you / your buddies travelling on this one? Its not like none of us have any past regrets re the one that got away or that you should have treated better...if only you knew then what you know now

Interesting topic Ted,

I've got four ex girlfriends from my teens on FB, but I've only caught up with two of them in the last two years. It was interesting, but even if I had have been single, I doubt I would have gone there.

Too much water under the bridge. BUT, I never would friend an ex-wife, they're ex-wives for a reason and I have two of 'em!

Sounds like its straight from the master Epicurus himself!!

“No matter what happens, enjoy life, because you only get one and it doesn't last long.”

“It is impossible to live a pleasant life without living wisely and well and justly"

Epicurus's idea of living happily centered on just treatment of others, avoidance of pain and living in such a way as to please oneself, but not to overindulge in anything. Sounds like you MR

Here's one of his Quotes:

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. Epicurus ...

That's one way to make her scream in the bedroom.

One of my ex's married a NRL state and Kangaroo player now in the media, funny he wanted to beat the sh1t out of me one night for saying hello we went out for 3 years.
I could have had her back but we both needed to enjoy life
I know someone who will not be named relaunch a relationship after 20 years and going good I believe.

indeed Ted.... I don't know who said it, but I would like to remembered in my eulogy thus " he did no harm" alas, at 54 I don't think I could actually be remembered for that, because I was a right SeaHunt as a lad, but I have some time.

Hence, only go to new pastures and pastimes, and don't dwell on what may have been. Learn from your mistakes and your elders. Only then can you live like Epicurus and live a pleasant life.....
