I'm a changed man from 10 weeks ago.
I kicked off with the 30 day challenge at my local gym in October. I stripped 11 kg off in that time.
I've dropped another 6kg since. Started at 146 kg and down to 129kg.
Training: 5am cross fit circuit classes. I stated with 3-4 per week and have increased gradually. I punched out 11 circuits from Saturday to Saturday last week including 3 on New Years Eve. Yes, I am loving the training.
Eating: I have adopted a Paleo/semi organic diet (I say semi as I can't get my head around paying $11 per kg for organic bananas when they are $2.99 per kg at local fruit shop). I have cut out the following foods:
Coffee
Bread (only toast for breaky)
Pasta
Rice
Dairy
Sugary foods
Fatty foods
I eat small portions every 3 hrs.
My Ninja blender is my best friend for smoothies, protein shakes & juices.
I have never felt more relaxed and had so much energy before. I was a hard trainer when I as younger so it was just a matter of tapping back into the zone.
Note: I am aware I have exceeded my 50 words or less rule but just wanted to get it out there that anybody can change their ways/habbits if they have a crack. Just got to get through the first 30 days and it'll cahnge your life forever. My new motto is "fu-k the comfort zone".

Great news Scotty, I love hearing stories like this.

It is really cool when someone makes a decision, hooks in and achieves their goal. Great story.

I've got the LB on the roof mate along with another board I kind of forgot I had. I'm up the coast for next 8 nights so looking to surf everyday. As you know SP, my last wave was G-Land 95.

Well done Scotty! Keep up the great work!
Organic - I agree, nothing wrong with $3 normal bananas...
Semi organic is fine... There are lots of great vegetables that almost organic even when not advertised/sold as organic, such as potato, carrots, and zucchini (these aren't really susceptible to anything major)... Also cherry/grape tomatoes, & lettuce are hardy, and grown is fairly controlled conditions, and aren't usually sprayed with much...

I was wondering when somebody was going to pick up on this one. My alcohol is very limited. I just feel a big night on the drink is a step backwards.
If I plan to have a few drinks then I'll earn it earlier in the day e.g. I had approx 10 Coronas + 4 spirits on NYE but got through the 6am, 7am & 9:30 circuits earlier in the day. I was back in for the 6am on Jan 2. With 4:30 am starts to make the 5am circuit means I'm in bed by 10pm so not much chance of a drink midweek. Maybe a few with the Mrs out back on a Saturday arvo.
My drinking is limited to water, coconut water, protein shakes or vegetable/fruit juices (made from whole fruit with my Ninja or at local juice bar).
BTW I got the farkin flu on our family hols. So much for keeping the doctor away.

Bitter sweet Ted.
Happy for Sammy but wish he was still at Redfern.
Btw, the Bunnies are moving to my local next couple of years with a full training facility. Can't wait.

100 % on the money there Mac.
For maximum results you need to combine healthy eating with daily exercise. The 5am circuits work for me as it's out of the way before work and I can't get caught up and miss training. I started with the 9:30 am class but that stuffed me around with work then dropped back to the 5am.

I've been thinking of doubling my training from 5 sessions to 10 per week, the extra 5 would be cardio mornings with weights in the afternoon, thinking of 12 weeks and see what happens.

Go for it Mac.
Just be careful not to overdo it.
Maybe start with Mon, Wed, Fri arvos to start with.
I've joined another gym which is a walk across the park from my joint. It's open til 10 pm so I've been heading over around 8:30 for 45mins - 1 hr with weights and cardio at 60 % for fat burning. Nothing over the top as I'm back up at 4:30 am next day. I felt I was on a plateau as my body was getting used to the circuits.
Need to dust off the 666 as well to mix it up.
