Just completed the daily double. I'm shagged!
CMC, you need my board volume calculator to work out dims for knee paddling!
The result is 9'6 or longer, x 23"1/2 x 3"1/4, at least. Full volume rails will enhance your experience, adding about 6 litres. 9'9 x 24 x 3"1/4 would be better for knee paddling.
Just a question for Mac if he reads this.
'If' I was to ride it as well what kind of dims would you reckon I'd need to knee paddle at 85-88kgs?
Yep I'm here I've been enjoying this one![]()
One that you and your wife can ride,on the big side 9.6 x 23 x 3 or 9.4 x 22 7/8 x 3,anything bigger will not work for your wife, too much of a board for her to handle.
Must add she doesn't surf, just gets to clean up around them in the man cave .
You let her in the man cave? Rookie mistake.

I agree with Mac....mine is 9'3" * 23 * 3 and I could have gone smaller and I weigh a bit more than you.
A full on heavy volane glass job on a traditional log will be very hard to lug around for her imo.....make it look like a log but go lighter and it will make her life a lot easier. Still be loads of glide for her. See if you can borrow one for a day and see how she gets on. I have found in the past that chicks and heavy boards = a no go after a while. You will end up putting it on the roof racks, taking it down walking it too the beach, bringing it back, putting on the car, putting in the garage etc
Ask Big Spazz what his chick rides - She seems to have no problem on her board from the few times I have seen her on it.
Glad the post came back on track, was a little concerned when a post about my wife ended up talking about porking the neighbour![]()
Good points on the board length and weight, let's be serious though, if there's a board that nice in the house who do you think will be riding it most??![]()

Cms my log was 9'6 x3x23 and I'm the same weight as you. I could not knee paddle it I thinks it's more to.do.with width than lengthy as I could knee paddle boofy sdr I coul. Also stand on it like a 666 as well. I'm with others on not getting it glassed heavy as . Hated carrying the beast around,.plus it also took a few Big paddles to get it going.
If the wife keen on a Mc icantsayit lol why not try a cruiser like macs.just smaller and a bit wider for you I mean your wife. Plus Macs 10ft one would still be way lighter than a log imo

So today she's down at Byron discussing the merits of the Involvement vs the Noosa 66. Ends up getting a factory tour and is in love with these things.
Looks like sooner or later there'll be one living at my house....

Not sure who done the tour. Does the description 'good looking old bloke' ring any bells?![]()
He reckons a 9'4 or 9'6 Noosa 66 will be the go, wifey was even nice enough to tell him that her hubby is likely to ride it as well so was in the picture.... In his description the involvement has lower more pinched rails so less stable for her to get back into it.
In other news she took one of my 666's yesterday and caught her first wave paddling standing up..... I think she's having a mid life crisis. Only 32 though??
I don't work for McT
Must have been GT,Dave is about 32.
on the buying boards front I have a guy coming to check out one of mine today.
