Bugger, the wife and kids wanted the fire lit, the first official sign of winter.
I'll put up the fight though, won't go to the steamer untill June.......Maybe
yeah i am with you on this one....I like to stay out of the steamer till the end of May as a general rule.....not sure after the last 24hrs of weather though. The water temp is still very warm here but maybe the early morning surfs may get hit my the chilli offshore....hope not.
Wife put on the heater tonight. What, it's 15 degrees not 5! I'm still in boardies and a rashie. Funny thing is she is from Canberra but is now a fully acclimatised to Perth.
I am with you on the fire Stuk , guess you are same as me ,get to go and collect the wood , stack the wood and light the fire , We lit ours up about 2 weeks ago .
Steamer I plugged in the heated vest this morning for the 1st time this winter
Dragged out the good 4/3 steamer yesterday, nice and toastie, hopefully I can get away without the booties for a few more weeks, got caught putting all the summer wetsuits throught he washing machine before they get packed away for the winter, I can't see what harm the salt water does to it, I'm the one that pays to get it fixed so I can't see her problem.

We have a timber mill in town, got a truck driver to load up and deliver 13t of firewood, no cutting or splitting involved.

Doing the annual mullet beach netting caper. About this time last year I was sitting out in the water at Crowdy Head when they brought all the gear down onto the beach and started taking the nets out, I was out of there quick smart.
