You've gotta Love the newish Step Deck model at McTavish.
I rang the boys, and they are doing them off the machines, or by hand by Bob.
You can customise them, such as having less step deck, or even no step deck, but retaining the classic template.
Single Fin, slight Vee out the tail, flat entry. Hard modern rails out the back.
You can customise the Stringers, redwood, 3/4 inch, or even converging stringers... / 2 stringers...

These boards are of a similar ilk to the Occasional Pins, and even the Pinnacle.
Classic looking boards, especially as a Single Fin, but with a more modern feel to the way the surf.

You could sort of call them 60-40's... 60% New School Surfing Style, but 40% Old School looks.

Reminds me of the fork in the road... with the Shortboard Revolution...
If the shortboard revolution didn't happen, then this board would have been done in 1973, instead of 40 years later in 2013 !!!
FORTY YEARS! Holy crap!

Simondo LURVES Longboarding!
& Longboards! Especially lovely tint work, and Single Fins...

outline good, actual step is the ugliest thing i have ever seen. Take a look at original step decks from the 60's or step decks by other brands and in true classic style they retain the rail and just scope out the nose/tail area. These horror shows are a liability, some of the steps deadset, if you attempted to walk to the nose you would roll ur ankle its that severe

sorry but f them off along with the screw driver

Spazz, I tend to agree. If I got one, I would order it without the Step!

Simondo's Model: The Stepdeck without a Step!
A better name for my version of the board might just be: Stairway to Heaven...

yer or pick one of the rack, the machine boards vary soo much, i have seen some take half inch and gently roll it into the step and some take 2 inches and its a cliff

rack or bob shape for sure

We all like a good screw, after drinking screwdrivers.

Maybe the surfing screwdriver will be parked up with about 2,000 Myer-the-Hoff Tampon Surfboards, in heaven...

I used to have a 7s years ago that had more of a stepped rail. Was a load of fun at the time. I like the design concept of the stepped rail. A stepped nose just seems like a silly idea to me.....get a different board If you read the description on their website it certainly fails to convince me of why I would even want to consider getting one - can anyone convince me?........plus there is no profile pic to show you how stepped they are. Relative to these pics how do they look?

McT's version would be with a tartan tint and called "The Slipper'.
