I'm just here for the LULz

Soon as I see vibes, I bolt from the topic, saw too many vibes in buggy forums.
any motor forum is a serious place and you've always got to be aware that when you deal with anyone on a specific subject, you're dealing with the whole person and not just the subject you have in common with them.
That means that if they have a strong religious, political or social views, they will formulate a jaundiced opinion of you, if they believe you're views don't line up with theirs, and visa versa.
To go further with the automotive analogue, and relating it back in to the 666 room, yes, as BB says, not only do many of them not have a surfing background, the nature of their passion for the sport also relates to its accessibility in comparison to other forms of surfing. In other words, you need to work less hard to achieve an acceptable level of competence than you would if you started out in middle age on a prone board, in much the same way as any half arsed kid with no idea of how to drive can immediately sit behind the wheel of a hot car and pretend, if only to himself, that he has all the skills and bravado of a formula 1 driver, without doing any of the hard work.
The above paragraph is not intended to denigrate the dedicated and exceptionally skilled 666 users, it's simply to demonstrate the similarities between two seemingly different groups that persist in doing in public what they should confine to privacy of their own homes, and a good quality lube.
Mind you, my comments could easily be seen as illinformed because I never go to any other room other than this one, I'm just making a guess based on past experience.
