Hell I'm Ugly a tool a troll and a very good fishermen on my day.
Since joining this forum I came as a first timer seeking advice for
all things a stand up paddle board, wtf you mite say,but yes
they are all good, met some great people during this time.Sure there
are some kooks, heroes, but they are also some of best watermen you will meet.
I have much respect for and in general they are the most humble people you
will ever meet.OK that's the Bad and not so ugly.

The Good, also met some of the coolest Surfers along the way, mainly Longboarders
and a couple of shortboarders as well, great mix of people. Some in here help me keep
my stoke which is a major reason I am here,Crazy groms like asea, chrispy and simondo
are high up there without pulling numbers,Lacey the only stand up paddle boarder that I know who can rip and tear and keep it real.He enjoys the ocean like we all should.
I'm your Mr average I have my great days and yes I'll shout them out,I also have the odd bad day as MR witnessed last Saturday what a screw up that was for me sadly but stoked to see another forum member have a top day.Just you wait until the new ripping machine comes.

Now for the not so Good and the Ugly,as much as I love this thing you have created I'm well and truly over the crap, why are there some that we know are no longer here, gee I must sound like the forum police but sometime a little check is in order.

Doggie you have an issue with Pup,hell that happens and Pup does his best to hold back and whoever reds people in here need to go elsewhere because this is not the place, take it outside and deal with it.

Sure I have said many things out of place because I like to say it as it is,I've made mistakes maybe one along the road and I put my hand up for that.

Now the super good, come back enjoy encourage not discourage.

We are all here for the same reason, fun, cheers and laughs rock on nobody is a winner for making others feel bad.

I normally don't read essays Mac.
Something about lack of attention span.
50 words or less is preferred and I like looking at the pictures.
Well said.

Speak for yourself ! I personally enjoy a little self appreciation from time to time !!

Seriously though - the dark room is like it is though (and always has been) because soooo many sweepers have little or no surfing background and as such have no interest or understanding of the whole "surfing thing" (fkt if I could think of the right word)
Sup'ers (and the odd surfer) have become a bit like the hordes of middle-aged potbellied lycra clad weekend warrior wanker cyclists we see polluting and clogging our roads - more interestedin having the best looking and most expensive bike for everyone to wank about at the cafe where all the fkn tosspots meet every sat' morning - there are so many similarities thats its frightening.
Yes - you longboard die-hards are a bunch of wankers but I love ya.

Thats so funny the comment about cyclists.

I was telling my son a story just the other day about sitting in one of the cafes in freo and watching a cylist coming in. No sweat up but head to toe in lycra, the lock in shoes. hat and a pretty fine bike.

I am sure he had road all of 500m and then sat drinking coffee after coffee but gee he looked the goods.

As to to the macs comments there are always going to be differing opinions and without it the forum will just be a love in but I do get amazed how much people can get stuck into each other.

Not as bad as some other surfing forums though

I'm just here for the LULz

Soon as I see vibes, I bolt from the topic, saw too many vibes in buggy forums.

any motor forum is a serious place and you've always got to be aware that when you deal with anyone on a specific subject, you're dealing with the whole person and not just the subject you have in common with them.

That means that if they have a strong religious, political or social views, they will formulate a jaundiced opinion of you, if they believe you're views don't line up with theirs, and visa versa.

To go further with the automotive analogue, and relating it back in to the 666 room, yes, as BB says, not only do many of them not have a surfing background, the nature of their passion for the sport also relates to its accessibility in comparison to other forms of surfing. In other words, you need to work less hard to achieve an acceptable level of competence than you would if you started out in middle age on a prone board, in much the same way as any half arsed kid with no idea of how to drive can immediately sit behind the wheel of a hot car and pretend, if only to himself, that he has all the skills and bravado of a formula 1 driver, without doing any of the hard work.

The above paragraph is not intended to denigrate the dedicated and exceptionally skilled 666 users, it's simply to demonstrate the similarities between two seemingly different groups that persist in doing in public what they should confine to privacy of their own homes, and a good quality lube.

Mind you, my comments could easily be seen as illinformed because I never go to any other room other than this one, I'm just making a guess based on past experience.

I'd have to agree Mac. Well said.

I only come to this room to see what you bunch of wild cats are on about today.

I don't even own a Longboard, can't ride a shortboard or a SUP either. But I can laugh and I do that pretty often in here.

Cheers big ears!

My last surf in rainbow bay a few months ago was with small swell and some deep holes I was grovelling on a 9 footer but there was a french guy on sup hoovering up a lot of waves and a few guys on 10 foot plus mals.

These guys were having fun. I got a few but again it keeps reminding me of right board or craft for the day.

I will need a semi for all the gear but one day I will have all bases covered.

Carting around the full complement of gear is pretty easy.

All you need is a 4x dual cab ute with a full length roof rack.

On the roof is the 666 then the sailboard then the mal. Sailboard rig fits up there too.

In the tray goes the engel fridge (beer) and kite stuff and all the other beach Sh!t. On top of that I put the 3 shortboards and the gut sleds.

The roof rack has a 4x3m canvas awning that rolls up.

Can't have too many options at the beach I reckon.

This topic got redded within 30 seconds of being posted, I greened it, I will say I have seen a certain member of the SB forum seems to be around a bit when the reds are being handed out. Posting a reply then seeing reds is a give away.....

You figure it out as I only have a hunch but it ain't the Dog....

Anyway who cares..... It's like someone waving a minuscule penis in your face... It just doesn't matter they still have a small cock and no idea.... Put it away and just **** off... I'm just not interested

Hope the above makes sense I am Friday night. Frizzled, tough week and a few cold beers with a few red grape juice chasers... But the whole reason to post is its fun..... Not a chance to flash your small dick around...
