Hey Breezers,
This is a bit of an introduction, I'm a newbie.
You reach a certain age and some fellas get a new set of clubs. I got The Blue Dream.
Thanks heaps to Simondo for his review
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Surfing/Longboarding/McTavish-EvoII-Review/) and Mac (62mac) for his advice on fireball options. I went with the Fireball Evo II, and wrapped about it.
McTavish stuffed up the spray first time around, but were great about it and let me keep the first board until this one was done. So, I've had a few great sessions on the EVO II and love it. The rocker has a “three stage profile”, good bit of tail flip, flat mid section and moderate nose flip. This really suits points with steeper take offs and early sections, transitioning to flats and inside sections, he he, long rides!

I'm stoked for some sessions at the Alley and LM (think I cracked the code)!

Anyway, there were a few dramas with the custom process with McTavish so I've included some tips for others that will be getting a custom McTavish in the future. I'm not cryin' here just passing on a bit of advice.
- If at all possible head down (or up) to the Byron factory and place your order in person, and check the order form! My second order form was also stuffed (colours and a logo), even after providing a very detailed mock up.
- If getting a tint, go to the factory on a Thursday and chat with Bill Mclean (master laminator) about colours. Choose the colour you want out of his stock and have his description of it included in the order form (e.g. Australia flag blue, coke, etc). This will give a better chance of getting the colour you want. Mine were stuffed on this board, but it's still sweeeeet as.
- Of course, get advice from Mac (62mac) if needed!
If you see the Dream, say G'day.
