Of late I've really noticed the bar has been raised at my local.

Guy's who I've never seen before on logs and spoons really styling.
There's guys are retro to the max,their riding some beautiful
boards,wear retro gear in and out of the water,old school
haircuts,some short back and sides others long ,all with facial hair.

Anybody else noticing this at your local?

Nothing new in palmy mac -

Boards - whatever was on special at cashys (or borrowed from a backyard in jefferson lane)

Clothing - whatever was on special at dimmeys at the pines (or borrowed from a backyard in jefferson lane)

Oh - as for local talent - I'm on fire at the moment (probably will be after this post gets out)

Theres a few guys around here that are into the retro thing but not many. I noted a few tourists in the carpark some months back strumming ukeleles WTF???
I always liked Simon Andersons quote "no image. thats my image ".

Google the lane,its one nice lane and attracts a very high end end punter who can afford to live there.

One down side is, its just too close to where billboard lives

Steady up there mac - I, like most old palmy stayers really enjoy going shopping in Jefferson Lane (nice cars, nice boards, nice underwear )

Yep, Nthn Beaches has a few. They're driving Kombis, Valiant wagons or even an old Mercedes 220. Short back and sides, stove pipe jeans and retro designed longboards and no leggies. They can usually surf pretty well too, well, way better than me anyway but that wouldn't be hard.

Interesting revival of 60s - 70s looks and styles. Perhaps promoted a bit by Sugarmill at Narrabeen.

Love that style of surfing and the lifestlye it represents, cant stand the posers though
