I wanted to post this in the original "What Your Surf Ride" but the topic was too old.

When I first saw this Ed Roth creation back in 1964 I was wrapped, now after almost 45 years, I still get a kick out of seeing it.

It's called the Surfrite, it even got into a couple of frames of an old Frankie Avalon flick call "Beach Blanket Bingo".

This time I took the trouble to do some research into it, turns out it was powered by a Mini engine and some designers still use it as inspiration for Asymmetrical designs.

eg. The Nissan Cube.

PS. What's got me buggered is, how the hell do you get into and out of the thing?

I hope entry is via Duke of Hazard style through the back window. Then you would look extra Coooooool at the beach.
