Hey Bitches
I've had a couple of surf lessons to learn basics and have become ok at timing the wave and popping up with some success. Luckily where I normally surf is a sand bar out the back so I can stand to take a rest, then simply jump on board paddle to catch wave.
I've only been surfing for approx 6 months and out of 10 attempts to catch a wave I probably catch three reasonably well, popping up riding down the line for a few seconds before getting belted by the lip or white wash. Few seconds of bliss.
I currently ride a 7'10" x 21 x 3, at 6ft and 99kg. I've read about the 7s Superfish which sounds fantastic in theory.
My question is would it pay to get some surf lessons from an experienced teacher who can also advise on a suitable board? I'm tending to think maybe a 9ft McTav Carver to learn basics then go a 7'3" 7s once a little more competent.
Feedback would be appreciated PB
