Anyone got one...just bought my old man a new 4th Gear Flyer UDT mat as he is getting back in the water after a few years on the side lines...videos of these things look sick...any tips? He is going to be taking it to the Ment's next year...63 and he's keen as!!
My friend Eve has recently got one as paddling her short board 6 mths pregnant was proving a bit tricky. Now she can still get out in the water and catch a few waves. She goes pretty good on it - will post a pic shortly - iPads do not let ya sadly. If they are good enough for George Greenough then that's fine by me

(1) get a good set of flippers try a specialist bodyboard shop like BSC / Inverted (2) don't over inflate it. Was speaking to a bloke who was riding one a couple weeks at the Wreck in Byron and he was able to fold it in half.

Good on him. theres some footage of Rasta and his mate riding them in Indo on a flick called Sprout. Looks like fun. good tip there Dazzler about not over inflating it.

140 quid? if bought in the uk...fmd that is a lot of coin for a surf mat. they have a section on their website on inflation and how to ride them
I met George Greenough on the beach at Broken a few years back. He was just hitting the water on an old style surf mat. He didn't care what craft he was on, he was just full of stoke
