Btw, 28 million at 17 years old - guaranteed to fark his life up. Try finding some true friends now as the current friends will have their hand out + the jealousy factor. I'm sure he will find a wife that loves him for everything other then the money. A combination of Macauley Culkin, River Phoenix and Lindsay Lohan rolled into 1.

I think the young kid will be ok....the young really smart kids these days seem to be driven by output and change not the ego that has runined many of the young movie/tv/rock stars. Check out MZ - he chooses to live in a fairly non descript house (ok its a fancy suburb by price but not by home style - its only like that because =of its location and lack of alternatives) and lives pretty simply despite his phenomenal wealth. He still goes to work everyday and works long and hard. He is driven by things that are much different to what you may expect. He is not alone in this - the Google boys are still trying for world domination many many many years after becoming zillionaires. I have full respect for these people and I hope that this young fella continues to strive forward.

I imagine a substantial portion of the winnings went to the early equity partners. I wonder how much Yahoo stock he received relative to cashola? Their share price has been performing remarkably well of late. Maybe raising your child in the office next door does pay dividends after all

Personally if it was me I would have brought an island / or part of one and wowuld be surfing 4 to 6ft Indo magic 8 mths of the year and spending the other 4 catching up with friends and family and getting trashed
