With the forecast for howling on shore winds today, I headed up to Melbourne with my really really long longboard, to race against Jacko the visitor from Queensland and DJ and Friends.

Jacko smashed it! He's quick. DJ has some pics in the other room.

Now I'm stuffed! Almost too stuffed for a beer.

What did you guys do today?

Blown out in Syd with the southerly and poor swell direction but I still managed to find a late wave way down at the southern end of Manly.

The Bower may have been worth look, I could see a bit of swell over there.

I was happy to get what few waves I got.

Good work. It's great finding a few cheeky waves in amongst the junk.

surfed a highly maneuverable short ###, ripped the bags out of it after not touching it for a month. some long boarders were looking on in awe

In your dreams, what rightful longboarder would acknowledge the lowest form of craft

I think I saw Iron Phil out today on a really short *** and Lacey can you please tell that clown on a naish that prone paddles in and just holds the paddle while cruising, that he is an embarrassment to the *** community.

ha, knew you couldn't resist.
that 'clown' is most likely to be a long boarder in all honesty, you can pick them a mile away.

might be your job to set him right i think.

it's all good. funny, nice conditions this morning, but the dredging in the creek has made the break a bit weird. low tide seemed like high tide.

news- going back to dale to get an 8'8 with channels. the ones they've made have been the ****- nobody knows why really, but very fast and they are saying they can get them vert and get back down. could be a bit of a break through

cheers

full review in there not

well I was extremely hungover after hosting some mates over from NZ for the weekend for a reunion session. By the time we got to the beach the southerly kicked in and ruined things. Not happy. Then it rained all day. Yuck. I had to get a flight to Brisbane Sunday evening and was looking forward to some warm weather but after 3 days here I am still wearing a jacket. What's up with this Queensland weather? Looking forward to finally getting home tonight and maybe getting some waves in the morning back on home soil. And maybe some warmer weather as well would be nice. There is a reason we all move over here!!!!!!
