Hi All,
We recently had our '63 Barry Bennett triple stringer stolen and we believe sold on ebay.
This board has priceless value. We know the little ** who took it and it's in the hands of the police, but we are trying to track down who unwittingly bought the board.

Bought from Adelaide, southern area. If anyone can help we would be eternally in your debt. My 'ol man bought it off the original owner who hadn't ridden it since '74 and he's cut his boards gone as I'm sure you guys will appreciate.

wow what a beauty. I will keep an eye out for it up this way. Something like this will stick out like dog's balls.....most of the Mal crew ride McT's and epoxy's.

thanks heaps mate. she is a great board and the ol man is only the second owner. I need to put a smile back on his face as we were away on holiday when it was taken. It is unique so am writing to all forums I can find online. As antique longboards of this quality are rare so I am hoping someone will see/know something.

I live on the NSW South Coast and although its a long way from your part of the world I'll keep an eye out. Its a pretty distinctive looking board. Good luck and I hope you track it down.

Yeah, thanks mate, we know the boards gone interstate somewhere. I've tracked down the courier company so gave that info to the cops so hopefully it won't be much longer til the "baby" is back with us. Just feel sorry for the poor bloke who bought it though.

the ** has stolen off far too many people down here recently, so he may be coming to a suburb near you yet, once he gets out.....

UPDATE:
We've had lots of positive feedback and we are slowly tracking down where the board is. Tomorrow I am to call the NSW police - fingers crossed they can help too.

Will post pics once she is back home, but for now she is safely tucked up in Waynes bedroom. Looks like he'll get his money back so now I am trying everything I can do to help Retrosurfa to get his money back from the little dweeb. I suppose the moral of this story is don't give up, be a pain in the butt with the police and use the internet. I sent over 100 emails all up to everyone I could think of that might know something, forums, restorers, even surfing museums. Again the ol man's stoked, we had almost given up but good things and good people are out there.
