I would love to go the Pipe Masters one day. I reckon it would be unreal to sit on that beach watching the fellas dropping into some big death defying pits from such a close range.....
The other one would be to watch the AB's ag The Saffas in Jo'Berg - an amazing stadium there - then head to a game park for a week then down to J-Bay for 2 or 3 weeks of right hand point break heaven.
olympic winter games- downhill, aerial, moguls, skiing and snowboarding half pipe.
tv does nothing compared to seeing these guys and girls live- so brave
12 Towers stand up Paddle board race in Queensland, epic battle between a bunch of bigheads with big boards and a balance stick.
Great event
That single fin event looked pretty special Mac so I can only imagine how amazing the 12 towers would be.....I did love the original Coolangatta Gold though.
I hear ya LL - I watched Hermann Maier do a few runs at Cardrona one year. It was simply amazing the speed he went down that hill at. Unbelievable. When I was at Whistler a few yrs back I stuck my head over the Mogul track for a look - could not believe how steep it is!! It was almost vertical and definitely not a run for me on by snowboard ![]()
No laughing at this one but a few years back my sister was the physio for the NZ netball team and I used to go to lots of those tests between Aust and NZ and absolutely loved them (we used to win in those days
). So much for a non-contact sport.....the games were so physical - the chicks are really tough out there on the netball court. Great entertainment if you ever get the chance to go.
Would love to go to a big baseball game at somewhere like yankee stadium - not into baseball but just for the atmosphere.
And maybe the Monaco grand prix - the ultimate mix of over-indulgence.
my old man took me to a bullfight in mexico when i was about 15, don't want to go to one of those again, just like going to the football for the mexicans.
Australian events would have to be the AFL grand final or state of origin
World wide American superbowl or one of the big basketball events would be hard to beat .
Wouldn't mind watching a game of that bikini NFL as well looks a lot more interesting then the female AFL games we get here .
bb,baseball is only good if you like to drink alot....i do and it still bored the crap out off me
the monaco grand prix would be crazy good though![]()
I used to be a sporting events pig in my previous life.....used to get lots of opportunities to attend events with my old work....used to take it a bit for granted in the end and now I so miss them! I still can not get over how expensive it is to go things like Origin now.....madness - not been to an All Black game in years....although part of that reason is heading out to Homebush is such a nightmare. I still love going to the rugby or the cricket when I can access Paddington pretty quickly afterwards.
I should have gone to the RWC semi and final in NZ but decided against it as we always used to lose those matches ![]()

I am hoping to go to the Boxing Day test again for the Ashes - went last time and it was unbelievable! Best fun. Saw Warnie take his 700th and then fail to acknowledge most of the crowd that hung around to see him.....still I think he is a legend....Liz and all that ![]()

Lots, id go to anything if it was worth watching.
But off the top of my head.
Pipe and Eddie.
Soccer world cup final.
The tour de France ( a mountain stage and also the final day)
Dakar rally stage
I went to 2 out 3 Triple Crown Events in 2005... Not the 3rd, Pipe Masters though. But all the Hawaiian Triple Crown Events are fun.
I would love to participate in a few stages of The Dakar Rally. The entire race might be a bit too grueling though.
When I lived in Italy, I regret staying in Rome (Roma) to watch some Italian Grand Prix Races (F1 & MotoGP), when I should have pulled my finger out and done a road trip... I had a car and fuel card!
