What did I miss?

Bells is simple... Don't change it!

I actually trust Maurice Cole, mostly, on this issue.

Some of the issues;

Sewer - not sure if a sewer rising main has gone in... But it's easy to pump out the toilet sewer... Or put a small pumping station in... But the pump station is probably $1.5M, maybe $2M, including the main.

Water - I think a town water supply has gone in... HDPE pipe...

Parking - probably about perfect... Once the carpark is full, the line-up is also about full enough!

Easter Classic - they guys do a great job, as is... The paddock overflow carpark is also pretty good...

Winki-Pop Toilet Block - probably needs to go in... But don't put it in "The Car Park Island". Put it in the verge area on the West of Car Park...

Tour Buses - maybe negotiate some nominal fees with the main tour operators... To assist with recouping costs for toilets/sewer, and rubbish removal...

Telecommunications - pretty damn good. Telstra is Excellent at Winki, but weak down at the bottom of Bells... No need to change anything...?
On this note... I go for surf, mobile is left on (in the car)... Sometimes I might miss an important call... Might only miss the call by 10 minutes... Jump inside the quiet car, make the phone call, and it's like I'm at my desk... In my (narrow) mind, I pretend that the Winki Carpark is my office!

That's my take anyway! I'm sure different user groups have some more specific issues/demands/requirements...
But generally, try not to F@$k with Bells too much!

What not to do...

Parking Meters - if you put them in, they will get vandalised at night... remote area, no houses around...

Over-charge Tour Buses - make them pay too much, they will just move over to Southside, or Point Addis, etc... When the surf is pumping, I really enjoy seeing the visitors getting excited about watching the big waves roll through... watch us ride the waves... listening to their excited voices... People should be encouraged to visit, and spectate... The current model works pretty well...

I reckon they need to get the buses to stop on the other side of the road where the overflow car park is and charge them for it....new toilet block should go in there as well...also Winki and Bells carpark should only be for the use of people that live in the 3228 post code everyone else needs to walk in lol....and get the ranger there everytime a bus pulls up with his fine book to fine the disgusting pricks that leave the Macca's wrappers and ciggie butts on the ground

Got that garbage problem our way too Tux .... same after every single weekend without fail crap blowing through the sandhills and carpark despite there being Sulo bins

During the weekdays it's the opposite - nothing

I did get a laugh the other day on my early morning run a couple of young blokes asleep in their ute with a giant bong parked next to the drivers door....

Simondo's right it is onshore and small down here all the time so there are plenty of others places people should go...did I mention its like really cold 11.5 months of the year
