Potential buyer of a board I have for sale is in Tassie and asked about getting it sent there from Qld (Sunshine coast).
Any suggestions and idea of prices?

Maybe contact Ben at Next Level Kayaking in Hobart. He does fairly regular trips north from Tassie to pick up/deliver surf skis etc..

Prices are insane atm. I've shipped boards from Sunny Coast to Adelaide for between $60 & $110. I purchased a board in Anglesea last week and the same company wanted $460 and that's not the most expensive quote I got.
He could try Uship but I don't like his chances to Tassie. I chucked the job up on their site and got lucky. A bloke was heading from Anglesea area to Adelaide and had room on his truck. His price was very reasonable. Fingers crossed he's gentle with it.

Thanks everyone for your replies. It sounds expensive so kind of a tough one.

Take it to Virgin freight at your local airport, cheapest and usually same day to Tassie airport, I've had boards up to 14' sent this way from QLD.
