Hi. Fairly new on here and have a question.
I mainly surf around Perth and Bali so haven't been too fussed about sharks (Perth has so many people in the water you'd be pretty unlucky...). Also, haven't seen a longboarder taken so they must not like our taste

.
But, I surf Yalls and surrounds in Jan each year and there seems to be more of them seen about each year to the point where I'm not enjoying myself out at Huzza's in the middle of the bay or at Inji Point and Rocky point with my mates. So, there's a shop nearby selling shark shields for $250 after rebate and while I couldn't justify the $700 price tag for my life, 250 got me across the line.
Anyway, just interested from anyone using a shark shield on a longboard and any tips for applying it (all the pics and vids I found were for short boards), and what experiences they have had, if they get zapped through the white water like some of the short boarders do, how far back to place it considering the centre fin box is in the way to get it back to where the instructions suggest for a short board (25mm in front of side fin for the part of the sticker going around the rail). Any comments from users of the ss would be appreciated.
