Hi all,

I'm heading to Sanur for a week end of March. I've not been to Bali before but will be taking a couple of 8fters with me.

Any tips ? I don't really have a plan, surfing or otherwise, although will look to hire a guide or driver.

Thanks

You can get a water taxi from Sanur beach out to the reef or behind Serangan Island. It's about $5 each way, just arrange a time to be collected. We had the boat wait with us and sometimes moves us further on to different breaks, $50 for 3 hours, can easily get 8 in the boat plus boards

Call Putu for a boat , he owns Titties Warung on Semawang Beach (central on the coast) -+62 813 37970021
He is as local as you get and knows all the surf breaks etc , best boat in Sanur
Call Bo for surf guide with a van etc for surfing , day trips etc anywhere in Bali -+62 859 36178931
Both guys are from Sanur and are great guys , trustworthy etc
Easy to communicate via Messenger or Whats App

Hey m8...road into Serangan is closed now due to a Chinese golf resort getting built. So get Dhusouth's man Putu to take you down there if swell is small or surf Hyatt reef if its big. Lots of surf sections along Sanur reef you can paddle out to easily, just need mid to high tide.

Funny your heading over for a 50th, a friend I'm doing a trip with next week is also having his 50th over there later this month. Havagood1

Hava read of my Sanur Oct blog, swell conditions will be pretty similar.

Its about 2kms offshore in front of the grand hyatt hotel, boat costs $10 return or for $20 Putu might anchor up & do some fishing waiting for you.
