HI All

Now enjoying Port Macquarie and the somewhat differing surf that i have learnt in on the beaches of QLD, I am wanting to add to my quiver. :)
Can anyone shed any light as to quality etc of the SFD boards and BMD boards that are locally made. I know nothing about surfboard contruction, hence the questions....(yes yes Mac I can hear you ...)
Just thinking about a local shaper and a 7.0 to 7'6" "fish"
cheers

Haven't heard of either - I like the look of the SFD Superfish mmmmm channels.

As for "are they good?" do you see alot of the locals on them?

Contact Billy Tolhurst in Coffs Harbour - he makes the best selling fishes in australia and some of the best performance longboards as well. His quad fishes are amazing and are so good that Robert August has Billy shaping for him. I know I am a bit surftech biaised but the Tolhurst surftech quad fishes are incredible boards and one of the most popular boards you will see on sydneys southern and eastern beaches and they are being ridden mainly by mature surfers looking for realistic boards that paddle well and lots float and stability but still have endless amounts of performance.

Just an after thought - the guy who originally shaped the 7S superfishes is down that way somewhere and he could do you a really nice custom version of the 7S - the worlds biggest selling surfboard I reckon. I am not 100% surf of his name - I think the boards are Wiz sticks or similar and his name is Gary but I could be wrong - well worth looking into.
