Hey All,
Given that I have no friends, I'm tossing up joining a longboarding club (actually, went to the Oz open in Kingscliff, and everyone sitting around and socialising, just seemed like a good way to spend a day).

Anyone a past or present member of any of the clubs? Any advice regarding which ones are more relaxed and fun than others?

Look at the interclub comp results in your local area, work our which club has the worse record in events, that will be the club to join.

Why?

Because it's not full of excessively competitive wankers, it's more likely to just be a bunch of guys and gals who want to have some fun, talk BS and eat and drink.

Never been a member of a longboard club but years ago was a member Miami Boardriders Club,it was fun for a while but sitting around watching judging while waiting for your heat, only for the wind to stuff it all up, yes the social side was good but mate the waiting was the killer.


Looking for friends Lacey is your man.

But one at Main Beach and Burleigh Heads.

Burleigh longboard club have some amazing people in there.

Super friendly , welcoming people , it is a great little community

They can be found on Facebook and Instagram,check them out because you will not regret it

First time i will dissagree with obct,Burleigh has a few Australian champs on their books,and when you meet awesome people like Clint guest you will know what I mean.

Just go to the next interclub event and look for the club with the most unfit looking members, pissed and acting inappropriately, that will be the club to join

Just a few clues you may need to look out for:

> 2 inch diameter wet spots on the boardies, around the area that the knob would usually sit, is a dead giveaway.
> Stained tees with the dominant line of staining being just under the mouth opening.
> Excessive scratching of the nether regions (male or female)
> If you venture with 10 meters and detect an odour vaguely reminiscent of disinfectant, combined with bunt corn and used baby arse wipes, that's often a good clue.
> a penchant for sexualized groping, sometimes even directed at members off the opposite sex, but not always confined to the same species.

Any or all of the above will be a good indication that you've cum to the right place
