Hi Viccos
I'm leaving the sunny west and heading for Apollo Bay next week for a Christmas family catchup. Hopefully I'll score a couple of waves whilst I'm there. As well as my 7'6" can the brains trust advise on rubber requirements?
Shall I pack the steamer or just chuck in the springy?
I'm a skinny old man who feels the cold.

Cheers

I would advise that you pack a steamer....those Vics boys are so accustomed to the cold that they are probably in boardies already I am sure Tux N Simondo will give you an honest run down when they wake up.

The water is still ****ing freezing bro pack the steamer for sure...I was in my 4/3 on Tuesday night....it can change pretty quickly in summer but a 3/2 steamer should be fine unless your surfing real early or late

Apollo Bay like most of Vic can have 4 seasons in one day...if the winds Northerly, you can head out in your boardies. Then if the wind changes to the South you may be instantly snap frozen

If the winds Westerly turn left out of town, if its from the East turn right...can be small over Chrissy though, so you might havta turn right.

Cheers Weiry, I'd like to get to PI one day, this trips all about the family so I'll have to stay close to AB. When I get back to the west after Christmas I'll be road tripping to a few of the super secret spots in and around Perth.
Thanks for the rubber advice team, all the best to you guys, hope Santa gives you some sweet waves, cold beers and some family fun in the coming weeks.
