Swell really pulsed yesterday arvo I was about 1K down the reef from this and we could see the choppers and rescue boats buzzing around doing there thing....if you talked to me yesterday I wouldn't of said it was that big I was calling 4 froot with the odd bigger one but looking back at some photos I might of underestimated it a bit

Just reading that article gives me the heebee geebees.

Nothing would scare me more than having a situation on a boat like that happen to me.

I know some guys who were tow surfing and got caught. They were on an inshore reef so the ski got washed into the cliffs, their boards disappeared and they spent 3 1/2 hours battling currents and 20' waves before they managed to come in about 2km up the beach. No one saw them or knew they were there so they had to do it themselves or die. Scary stuff.

I hope those injured in the incident have no lasting injuries.

Wow that would have been heavy!

I filmed the G-land boat almost flip last June 27 inside what is usually the Kuta reef channel...Don't wanna be on any kind of boat in rough seas.
