Great to see the girls get the 4xRelay GOLD to!...

Well done you Aussies. I was driving whilst listening to those golds - great commentary - felt like I was almost there first Indiv men's gold in the pool since Athens. Hard to believe really - but they are back.

Its interesting to see the Australian team on top of the medal tally(yesterday and this morning)..and yes its temporary but we achieve plenty in lots of sports.(of which surfing isn't)

They say pound for pound Australia is the best sporting nation in the world.

Most poorly planed games in history,in this day and age its a disgrace and some of the venues are sub standard look at the rowing for starters those conditions are for ocean crafts not the slick flat water craft.

Look at the crime going on in and around the village and events,the NZ media tent copped a bullet the other day,clearly a country not worthy of hosting such an event.

Oh and channel 7 coverage is just a bad its hard to work out wtf is live and whats not poor all round.

When the games were announced for Brazil it was seen as a great source of pride - they were a booming economy and had strong govt and they were hoping to break the back of the poverty issue. Well all these years later their economy is floundering in a horrific recession and the President will be impeached any day. Hey did not have the $16 billion to spend on the games. Well I reckon the Olympics should consist purely of 20 days worth of Beachball , Gymnastics & Mudwrestling ..... although not necessarily in that order all the rest of that shizz is as boring as batsh!t
