Hi Andy,nice podcast, basically all the general specs are spot on,i.e. parallel rail, reverse rocker, wide point slightly back etc.
There is a school of thought re; the bottom shapes, as was stated some like the vee under the feet transitioning into a mostly flat bottom mid section.
But there is also the Hulled bottom gang, their thinking is there is more suck and lift,withthis bottom shape,without the water shearing of like a Vee bottom can do depending on the size of the Vee.
One of the other claimed advantages of the Hull bottom is, it much easier to control how fast you go before you out run the wave while on the nose.
Of course it helps if you can surf in the first place.
