Hi Chris,
That Star Fin certainly is sweet, it's from Noel at Revolution.
Regarding the Warp Drive Spitfire fins the first thing to note is that they are not flex fins, so if a board requires a flex fin ( e.g. a 'hull' with a fin box placed far forward) then the Warp Drive probably isn't ideal.
The fins offer loads of drive and hold, with a drag reduction, all in a compact shape. I started with the spitfire plan shape in 1994 on 70's singlefin derived boards in the 7 foot range and have been using them ever since in boards of all sorts of shapes and sizes. They feel direct and crisp, with excellent control. The leading edge bumps have improved the response dramatically.
Here's CT from Maine who received his fin ( an ABS prototype) a few days ago:
"Surfed a cold and windy chest high beach break this morning before the cold set into my bones.. Rocked the blef fin on this hp veneer long board of mine, it holds down the line damn well. The drive from a hard pivot bottom turn is nice too, much more power than the wimpy raked single fin I've rocked on this board in the past."
