To those that know me and my beautiful little girl "Pocket" - she passed away today after a very sudden illness. She was the best mate I have ever, and will ever have and she will be deeply missed.

Geez BB thats sad.

Mate, I am really sorry to hear that. I've had a couple of great dogs and it is devastating when that go. It's a pity they can't live as long as us.

R.I.P. "Pocket"

Thank you so much guys - she was a very very special part of my life and has been for many years and I will miss her so much.
Doggie - I was so hoping you would get to spend some time with her when you come over - you would have adored her.
And yes - that is the Mccouch and it would be a toss up as to whether pocket or mac have shed more hair there over the years

Sorry to hear that. RIP.

Those ears are adorable. Sorry, I'm not helping....

My wife wants to make out dog Bennie into a Man Made Diamond upon his passing. I think I will convince her into either a burial or ashes though.

Where is "Pocket" now? Where is her final resting place?

She will be back with us in a few days and her ashes will be staying with us. In her 12yrs on this planet she spent very very few days away from us so we want to make sure she is with us for the rest of our lives. Funny you mention the ears mate - every single person that has ever met her always fell in love with her ears - they were like silk and I gotta tell ya she must have got the sh#ts with everyone feeling them and especially her dad

We are gunna have a barby in the next coupla weeks in palmy so will let you local guys know and hopefully you can come along a share a beer/snag and a tear or two with us.

I think the only thing that stopped her short of being the perfect dog was that she was heavily involved in stand up paddling she has been sighted hanging ten off the front of my sup at currumbin on many occasions - gunna miss my little paddle buddy Thanks again everyone for your kind words - it means a lot.

This may help Billboard as I know and share your pain.

This dog was a champion,I would come home from work and find a red-belly or brown snake dead, don't worry we moved some years back.

Photos taken on his last day,oh and his name is Bear, looking like a polar bear and dad does not mind the Bundy Bear.

We still have Bailey the little guy,10 now and if I mention the word Bear he goes on the hunt for him,now that love yeh.

Hey mac - its the greatest love when you have them and the greatest of pain when you don't - as you know. She was the only person in the world who didn't think I was a kook as well

Strange that before they arrive at your home we can call them a dog but when they have been with you for a while, they are a member of the family like one of the kids. Take care BB

Chris, I know people will pooh hooh me saying this but - 12 years ago we bought a dog and this week we are mourning the loss of a child (no we don't have kids) but she was our whole world and every bit a member of the family. I think she ceased being a dog the day she first got up on the bed that she was never ever going to be allowed to sleep on
