By the way..another punch room annoyance...today at the local 2 guys in particular hogged nearly every decent set that came through...fark I hate that...no RESPECT for their elders..had to fight for every wave like a 14yo Grom...

i thought thyroid when i saw it.. why didn't they take the whole thing smicko.

Tumour was only on the right hemisphere Weiry, waiting on pathology and if that comes back malignant then I'll have to have the other half out.

The idea of trying to get by with half is to try to avoid HRT, they reckon that can be a bit of a bitch to get right.

Fingers crossed it comes back OK, not overly keen on getting throat raped again. That $hit smarts.

Ok farging Telstra & Service Elements.

I'm on hold waiting to talk to connections for service elements who have cable tv/internet & it says "phone" for the land estate our new house is built in. I had already booked & waited ages for Telstra & was stoked thinking I would not have to deal with Telstra.

Telstra coincidentally call my mobile while I'm on hold with Service Elements, I smugly tell them I won't be needing them or their order number or direct ph number. I've got someone else connecting us & I hang up.

Service Elements answer the phone & inform me they don't connect the phone in our area, only tv & cable internet.

Fark...back on hold trying to get Telstra to resurrect next Monday's ph connection. But they can't find the job under my name, I need the job number that I don't have...back in the cue I go. BS asshole company

Is that where phone, tv and internet are all digital Mick?
Fiber to the hub or some such. If so that's what we're on, 'cept is called Telstra Velocity. It was a bit of a pain in the arse to get up and running but it's pretty damn quick once it is.

Yeah only the infrastructure is owned by another company that has a monopoly on the cable network. So although I'll hook up their cable internet in case they offer a reasonable deal in the future, I will stick to ADSL2 with exetel...gonna have an underground digital free to air tv connection which will be pretty cool if all the channels work without having problems like now with an antenna around here. We're lucky to have more than 2 channels work atm lol

Geez that sounds like my NBN installation & hookup that will replace the old copper line - supposed to be yesterday , I had to hang around like a stale curry fart but alas a no show by the technician
Now I gotta wait another month for the next available appointment , coontfaced arrangements fark me rhone - and hope the old network doesn't get suddenly switched off in the meantime

Why are you still using Smelstra?

If you have NBN in the area I would look at other providers. Then you don't have to experience Australia's greatest call centre ever again.

I got mine through another provider and told them all to bugger off with the telephone. We both have mobiles with more credit than we can use so we don't need a land line. The other bonus... No bloody telemarketers... Brilliant!
