And Why!
I'll start...
---------------------
1) - www.mctavish.com.au/surfboards-buy/unique-shapes/speed-shape-20006
This is Blue, with a subtle "M" Deck Logo / Cloth lay-up...
Although I would like to beef it up to 8'10 x 22"1/4 x 3.

2) - www.mctavish.com.au/surfboards-buy/midlength/stepdeck/stepdeck-20024
This looks like it could be fun... also take note of the tiny tiny Bat Logo right at the Tail (deck side)....

3) - www.mctavish.com.au/surfboards-buy/traditional-logs/tracker/tracker-19810
Tracker Pin Tail... Beautiful!

1. Firewire Potatonator or similar as a one board quiver for those summer type trips away. I am sick of having to take 2 boards in case its really small. If you take one you can so easily get skunked. I can make something similar out of PU but really would like an EPS one for the float so I can keep it small. I also need this board immediately due to the death of a loved one in the family in recent weeks and I am presently banned from large scale garage activities. Have also been considering a Katana Scud as an option but not sure this has a big enough asse for what I need it for. I have a really good stick for when it looks like it will be between 3 and 6ft but not 2 to 4ft - I usually take 2 boards. This has caused me to miss out one too many times

2. Ted shaped Tommo Vanguard. This one is presently in the design phase. Always wanted to try one since I first saw them but can not really justify buying one. I am just super curious to see how they go. I watched a bloke one arvo at Tallows - its was 4 to 5 ft perfection with these beautiful pits coming through but it was so fast I could hardly make them. This bloke (yes he was a good surfer) just seemed to be flying compared to everyone else that arvo one making them with ease. I watched him for about 30 mins when I came in to just make sure what I was seeing was correct. From that point on I have been sold.

3. Ted shaped 10 ft nose rider. It will have a big asse and a big thick cedar stringer and an icey blue tint - close to Simondo's fav colour - I have already brought the tint in anticipation. I have been thinking I may try and glass it like this but am terrified I will stuff it up and it will look ugly. Time will tell

1. 5'10 x 21 x 3ish quad fin (Neal Purchase Jr Quartet) knock off
2. 5'10 x 21 x 3ish Morning of the Earth Bali single knock off
3. 5'10 x 21 x 3ish vanilla shortboard or a MP cutback board....haven't decided yet

The blanks are in and the first board is half way shaped so hopefully they will all be done by mid year...woohooo

Lots of small wave shortboard stoke involved.
The Nano sounds like a winner btw.

Nano arriving in a few days?

Its fair to say I am not happy with you Cuttlefish. I am so out in the wilderness these days that I had no idea what a Nano was until you mentioned it. Now I have just spent hours trying to gleam as much info as I can about it and work out whether I need to cancel the order that I made this morning and change it for a Nano. I have a supposedly very busy schedule at the moment and goodness knows where I found the time

Still in a state of confusion. I need a new stick ASAP. Have you heard when these Nano's are due. A new shipment landed on Tuesday but not sure if it had the new ones in it as I did not even know they existed until today. I am tempted just to switch on principle as I always wanted a Vanguard and now here is its little brother. Ahhhhh will be a sleepless night ahead Have just cracked a coldie so I am in a better condition to make this huge decision

Chrispy - we can discuss your next board when you return my call

Firewire at Currumbin told me end of Feb.
The Nano is featured in the 2014 ASL board test.

This is what Nick Carroll said about it.
"The Tomo Nano is ****en amazing by the way, best board I've ridden in ages, thruster or quad it's all gold."

I'd give up 3 for this 1

But if it was 2 more I'd get a fat arsed fish about 6' and an all rounder lb, 9x22.5x2.75.

And nice idea ted. That board looks good

If I were surfing properly again I'd have a Grant Miller Powerglide as it was the best mid length I ever had . Then I'd get a Tak DT 4 which is a sleek longboard with a narrow pintail and a pulled in nose . After that I really like the look of some of the boards that Joel Fitzgerald is doing. For now it's the 666 but who knows ?
