What is everyones opinion on perfect conditions for a long board? To me it's conditions like this vid of beau young. Crisp clear glassy beachy under waist high. Any bigger and I'm on a shorty. To me this is longboard heaven!

That clip has great longboard waves for sure but for me it's more about the type of waves more that the size, big hollow fast breaking waves with steep takeoffs are out of my comfort zone, but the same size wave that's fuller & a bit slower wouldn't worry me.

Give me a point wave over a beachy every day of the week, there's something about those nice long rides that keep me going back.

For a while there I only had the one board, a 9'6 mal, surfed it everywhere ha ha.

Had its limits but I never knew that until i got out there and then still did not regret it.

Not totally by choice just could not afford another board!

That wave is suited to the board he is riding a log, little rocker to scoot along the wave,I'd call that knee high Beau is a fantastic surfer and can make anything look good.Cool clip thanks for posting.

I was just reading through the 2012 Longboard World Tour Results, and I smirked when I read the competitor list by a single name... "Wingnut"! but we do know him more as Wingnut than as Robert...

Lovely little spot that. I take a few weeks there every year. Beaches like that are quite common.

His old mans influence is very obvious, be a bit hard not to be affected.

Nice feeling to that vid, good location, nice little waves, no one else around................dream on ET.
