With a good friend being a long term 'local' describing the sand as 'the best in 10 to 15 years' I decided to take advantage of the long weekend and get away up to Crescent Head for a night.

The place of the 'Kool Kat' or so it seems.

Retro heaven­..close to exceeding Byron's charms these days.

Gato Heroi Loggers, pinched 60's rails, no leggies­..the scene to be in, or so it seemed.

What happened to Ugg Boots, Beanies and the like ?...ah, the old days.

There was an under current of Northern Sydney / Bondi style and not the Crescent Head of old but one thing remains...the 'PPP's' that is the Crescent 'Perfect Point Peelers' !

2 fun days of knee high peelers on the 10'6 Mickey Munoz and aside from all the rain, too much fun.

Here's what I captured of the 2 days with Pete 'shredding the head'.­..well, cruising rather than shredding !

Yep, really nice, and made all he more enjoyable because he was using my favorite sled, the 10'6" munoz.

If only they would nose ride, they'd be perfect.
