Agreed, not a fan of the "pump" and i dont do it myself but plenty of other good stuff in there... You should just be happy i'm not panning modern longboarding

And Andy IMO modern longboarding is trying to hard to look cool in the carpark, choosing biatds on look and then boating in and just standing there doing **** all. hardly even resembles surfing... more like a fashion parade..

A HP longboard is as close to a 5'11 if your my weight so why not treat like one and bash the lip,you can aways trim but trimming is for guys who can't turn or are not strong enough,lack skill and all that

That chop was basically saying cope take,tucks into a barrel on the shore and steps off on the beach,outstanding wave riding.

I love all forms of longboarding,some of us are built like tanks and have little chance of hanging 5

How is a HP lb like a 5'11?

No glide, different turning circle, completely different drop in and entry point. Completky different placement of turns and generating speed.

And
I'd ike to see you get 60 odd liters into a surfable 5"11..

For me It's a worn out excuse, I don't complain about being light and having to turn a 9ftr so walking a biard is no different if you are heavier, 99% technique and practice...

SP @ 110 kg a 906 hp can be ridden like a shortboard,I surf because it mainly a soft landing when I fall.

But why would you want to? It's a longboard.

If you wanna surf like a short boarder then Ride a shortie. They do it 1000times better.

That 906 is the same as a 9' for someone of 70kg. It still is a lb that doesn't behave like a 5'11 shorty.

'Modern' is so last century.

Doing less on the outside section, the middle section and the inside would have been nicer IMO.

look only the extreme top end can make a long board do short but why.

boys I got into that 6'dhd switch blade which is light,responsive, fast and well everything else is moderate comparing.

to say a 9.06 is like a short board is saying i've lost the plot in my twenties. no contest if ya talking carves, turns, speed and stuff.

by nature lb are meant of slower weaker waves the travel better at slower speeds generally speaking.


nose riding is fun and fills the gaps and if ive been turning out a lot of shortboard sessions and dwing and im tired its good to surf and rest but give me pumping fun beachies on my shorty any day

remedy- watch a few beau young vids. hes got the best mix of old and new school going. looks seamless
