a new board all sorted,shape design all locked in.Does your shaper,which of the following does your shaper ask.

Deposit?

Full Payment Up Front?

Full Payment On Pick Up Day?

Haggle a price when ordering then after agreed , aim for another $100 off that.

Once agreed, payment in full on pick up and hand the extra $100 back as thanks for all the nightmares caused during the process.

Last time I ordered a new one I paid a deposit of $200 and the rest on pick up. Was the most expensive board I had ever purchased as well. I felt sick once the ordering process was complete

$100 deposit, remainder on delivery.

Current order is for a 666 valued at $2500 and thats all that they wanted.

mind you i am a multin repeat customer.

I like these threads they get me excited.

Most in the past have varied on deposit from $100-$400 SDR I have paid in fill so I wouldnt spend the coin. My new chrispy chip,haven't worked that out yet

Well said. It's usually $100 deposit which is fair enough but trying to screw a good shaper down is going to make you look like a d^ckhead.****** them around is just as bad. The glasser and sander also have to get paid. A good custom is a good product for the money. I've seen knobs carrying on about a 1/4 inch here or there and they can't even surf.

I've only had one board made for me but the shaper was cool and just want cash on delivery. Didn't haggle as I was really happy with the price, advice and service
